The Nikon EH-7P charging AC adapter allows an EN-EL15b battery to be charged in-camera, with the battery in the compartment and the charger connected to power. If the camera is turned on, it will only operate under battery power.
Please note this charger is only compatible with EN-EL15b batteries. EN-EL15 or EN-EL15a batteries must be charged using the MH-25A charger.
